Sri.A.Ramanujulu Chettygaru who was a pioneer in the field of Primary Education started a small pial school in 1882. Later, Sri.K.Ramiah Chetty founded the High School exclusively for girls in 1946 with Forms I to V. Now, the school has crossed 75 years of service in the field of education. This Girls High School emerged from the A.R.C. Primary School like Minerva from Jupiter in June 1945.

The ARC School Board, is managing the activities of K.Ramiah Chetty A.R.C.Girls’ Higher Secondary School. Dr.V.Balu, is the President and Tmt.S.Usha, is the Vice-President and Tmt.Dr.S.Hemalatha M.B.B.S. D.G.O. is the Secretary of KRC ARC School Board.

The classes from VI - XII of the School are held in four massive buildings namely SRI KRISHNA NIVAS, NEHRU BLOCK, SRIVARU BLOCK and SUDHARSAN BLOCK.
